Ragashree Komandur is a second year student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, WI, USA. She has been learning Bharatanatyam for the past 12 years under Nrithya Seva Mani Guru Smt. Kripa Baskaran, Director of Natyarpana Dance Company and her grandmother Karnataka Kalashree Guru Smt. Revathi Narasimhan. Founder Director, Natya Niketan, Bangalore.

Ragashree performed her Arangetram in 2011 and since then has given many solo and group performances for Natyarpana Dance Company across the United States and India.
In 2013, she had the privilege of performing in the dance drama “PremayilShakuntalam” directed by Guru Smt.Radhika Shurjit at the Indian Fine Arts Festival in San Diego and at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana.

In 2015, she choreographed and presented Samparana alongside seven other dancers across the country. In 2016, she also performed in Shri Rama Kadha Sudha along with Natyarpana Dance Company.
She was a 2nd place winner at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana dance competition. Raga has also won 1st place in the competitions hosted by Rasa Arpita and Swanada Kala Mahostav.

She also has won many public speaking meets in the “demonstration” category, depicting classical dance to American audiences and was selected as a state finalist in the same category.
